In 2015 SafeWise saw in excess of 20,000 people within our two centres and attended just under 20 events with our Safety Caravan and Driving Simulator. A monetary value can never be placed on a life saved or injury prevented – our work is about prevention and difficult to quantify.
We are always in need of funds to help ensure that SafeWise is positively impacting children’s lives and tomorrow’s parents about staying safe and giving confidence to more vulnerable members of the community. SafeWise provides education on all aspects of life from dealing with doorstep sellers, online safety to road safety for driving and mobility scooters – with supporters we have impacted countless lives directly and indirectly.
The charity can only keep this amazing community facility operating with the generosity of our supporters who we are sure would agree once they experience our centres are blown away with our energy and approach.
All donations are very gratefully received and are used directly to enhance the safety education delivered at SafeWise. Some donors prefer their support goes directly into a specific area which of course we accommodate – why not give us a call and see what we do first hand.
There are a variety of ways in which you can donate funds:
- Click the DONATE logo to go straight to the secure donation page on our BTMyDonate SafeWise charity page:
- Or send a cheque made payable to ‘SafeWise’ addressed to: Alison Shelton CEO, SafeWise, Unit 1 Roundways, Elliott Road, Bournemouth Dorset BH11 8JJ
- Or make a card payment donation over the telephone – please call 01202 591330 (Bournemouth) or 01722 691507 (Weymouth).
- Or perhaps you could consider making a small donation every month by Standing Order – just £2 a month over a full year will cover the cost of a child’s safety education at SafeWise.
If you are an individual UK taxpayer choosing one of the last three options please consider completing a Gift Aid declaration for us – if you do the government allows us to claim back at least 25p for every pound you donate – and it won’t cost you an extra penny.
