Volvo Cars Poole, Dorset’s Volvo retailer at Holes Bay in Poole, has joined forces with the award-winning multi-site road safety charity SafeWise.

In a sponsorship deal that reflects the synergy between the safety values of the Swedish marque and the county’s only road safety centre, Volvo Cars Poole has become a committed SafeWise supporter.  The relationship sees the Bournemouth SafeWise centre take on a Volvo feel including one of the main streets inside the life-sized and realistic educational Safety Village being named ‘Volvo Way’.

Volvo Cars Poole General Manager and Director James Litton said “This is a superb opportunity for both parties.  It makes complete sense for Volvo Cars Poole to be involved with SafeWise as both organisations share a deep-rooted safety ethos.  The centre is being used for the education, including road safety, of all ages from the very young to the retired.  It is a perfect environment for those driving now and for our future drivers to be reminded of Volvo’s commitment to road safety”.

“We hope this relationship further endorses Volvo Cars as a name that reassures Dorset drivers not only of the safety of our cars but in our commitment to wider road safety.  SafeWise does such good work for all ages – this opportunity has allowed us to familiarise the Volvo brand with everyone, from Key Stage 1, to teenagers and new and experienced drivers, to training programmes for all types of business”.

The 12 month sponsorship investment goes towards the marketing, management and maintenance of this unique indoor educational facility.

Diana Newbury, Fundraiser SafeWise said “SafeWise appreciates this support and fitting partnership and we look forward to a long-lasting association with Volvo Cars Poole”

Volvo Cars Poole, part of the Ocean Automotive Group, opened its doors as Dorset’s Volvo retailer in May 2015 and employs 13 members of staff in one of only a few Volvo Retail Experience centres in the UK.
