Discuss Decide Do
See the change in your children as they actively engage in realistic scenarios within the safe environment of our village. Our full day Junior Citizen programme is tailored for Key Stage 1 to match your the PSHE curriculum curriculum learning objectives and help you fill the crucial life skills gap.
A fun and engaging day will promote teamwork, improve communication skills and build confidence. Children are challenged to respond to realistic situations, think for themselves and take responsibility for their choices. Your children will enjoy a packed day of interactive scenarios. These include road safety, escaping from a house fire, dealing with emergencies, train and tracks, beach and water, travel and transport, personal safety on the streets, anti-social behaviour plus much more.
Aimed at Key Stage 1 the session starts and ends with a fun quiz. Children are divided into small groups for the tour with a specially trained Visitor Guide who leads them around a series of 10 minute safety scenarios. Topics are appropriate to the age group with a focus on safety. Programmes run from 9.45am – 2pm with a break for lunch.
