An innovative new national membership for primary schools launches this week.

The membership delivers virtual experiences of the SafeWise learning village along with curriculum-linked resources for teachers plus a range of other features, such as home learning, for the whole school community. 

Membership will contribute to a broad and balanced curriculum for schools, and focus on building children’s resilience and confidence, critical thinking, decision-makingcommunication skills and more. 

Dorset schools can get a special deal by signing up as founding member during limited period for the price of £250.

The membership is the first stage of an ambitious new business model for SafeWise, with future development already underway for immersive virtual reality experiences for secondary school pupils in Key Stage 3. 

Following recruitment of Dorset founder schools, SafeWise will roll out full-price membership nationally following interest from other areas of the country and safety centres.  

Bournemouth-based digital agency Digital Storm has worked with SafeWise to develop a digital dashboard for members to access all their membership benefits. 

SafeWise’s mission is to provide realistic and immersive learning experiences to equip visitors with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to live active, fulfilling, and safer lives in stronger communities is even more relevant in a COVID world. 

SafeWise is supported by Dorset Police, Dorset & Wiltshire Fire & Rescue Service, NHS Dorset, Bournemouth, Poole & Christchurch Council, Dorset Council, Dorset Police & Crime Commissioner plus corporate sponsors. 

Our resources for teachers has been specially created by in-house experienced teaching professional alongside content from SafeWise partners including the Fire and Police services, NHS, RNLI, SGN, SSEN,  Coastguard and other expert organisations.

We also believe child voice is important and have included children in developing and creating our membership content. They feature in videos presenting our discuss, decide and do dilemmas for children in the classroom.

As well as the classroom experience, the membership includes brand new in-centre visits to SafeWise Bournemouth which are set to start early next year, as well as many other benefits for schools and their families.
