SafeWise family summer events return

SafeWise’s summer family events are a great chance for families to spend quality time together having fun, and picking up new skills that may one day save their lives.

Children sign up as a Junior Safety Inspector  to explore amazing SafeWise centres in Bournemouth or Weymouth.

SafeWise Bournemouth boasts an incredible village recreated all under one roof. It comes complete with road and traffic lights, cars and bus, train, tracks and station, co-op shop, beach and heathland with pond. It also includes a real two storey house and much more to explore.

SafeWise Weymouth features a large outdoor street scene. It includes a road with traffic lights, crossing and mini-roundabout. The centre also has rail tracks, beach and water safety scenarios and double-decker bus. You can also experience incredible fire emergency scenarios.

The summer family events are designed for children age 5-10 and their families. All ages are welcome to join the fun-packed self-guided tours of the charity’s interactive learning villages.

It’s a great chance for all the family get safety savvy and pick up essential skills which may one day save their life.

Due to the popularity of the events, booking online is essential. Choose from SafeWise Bournemouth, Elliott Road, on 24, 25 July and 28,29 August or SafeWise Weymouth, Radipole Lane, on 30 July and 28 August.

Entry costs just £5 per person at SafeWise Bournemouth and £3 per person at SafeWise Weymouth (small booking fee applies). Children under 4 entering free of charge.

Refreshments will be available at cafes at both centres (cash only please at SafeWise Bournemouth) and free parking is available on site with nearby on-street parking too.

Every child which successful graduates as a Junior Safety Inspector goes away with a special SafeWise certificate.
