Weymouth Fire Cracker returns on 14 December

Popular festive fire favourite returns

The Fire Cracker Christmas Fair at Weymouth Fire Station with SafeWise Weymouth returns on Saturday 14 December from 11am – 2pm.

Father Christmas arrives at 11.15am at the family focused festive event, which includes the chance to watch stunning fire demonstrations, look around emergency vehicles, listen to local choirs and browse stalls and displays.

SafeWise Weymouth manager Ben Heath said: “This festive favourite returns to SafeWise and Weymouth Fire Station on Radipole Lane on Saturday 14 December between 11am 2pm and is free to enter.

“As well as enjoying the stalls and entertainment, it’s a rare chance to go behind the scenes and pick up some great safety tips to make sure your Christmas holiday is one to remember for all the right reasons.”

Station Manager James Plumley, of Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service, added: “The Fire Cracker has been a hugely popular event over the past few years, and we’re looking forward to welcoming visitors of all ages throughout the day.

“Whether you want some home fire safety advice, or just have your photo taken in a fire engine, there should be something for everyone – and it’s also raising money for two great charities.”

Admission to the Fire Cracker is free, but any funds raised will go to The Fire Fighters Charity and SafeWise Weymouth.
